Hi, my name is
Russ Brown, I am a novice vintner and I plan to build a small vineyard on a
south facing, sloping field at my home in Colesden, Bedfordshire. Bedfordshire is a medium sized county in the eastern region of England, known for its brick works, an airport, a safari park and agriculture but not for viticulture. In fact at the time of writing there is only one commercial vineyard in the county, at Warden Abbey. |

I have created this web site to document my journey to creating a vineyard and beyond. It will be a 'warts and all' blog of my efforts. I'm sure there will be a few mistakes and disasters along the way but only time will tell. |
